DigiTALENT

With more and more textbooks and specialist literature used in higher education in the Netherlands being written in English, it is absolutely essential that students have good English reading skills. The DigiTALENT project was designed to accomplish just that.

DigiTALENT is an interactive digital English course that helps students to achieve a high degree of English reading proficiency in the space of a few weeks, thereby providing them with the skills they need to participate in a Master’s programme. The DigiTALENT course begins with an intake exam in order to determine students' reading levels in English, and concludes with a final exam to test their progress. The course itself consists of nine modules, each containing theory, authentic English texts and a number of exercises. DigiTALENT was designed as a self-study package, but is also ideal for use in ‘blended learning’.

Benefits at a glance

DigiTALENT allows students to work independently, without an instructor, in their own time and at their own pace. The clear design ensures that users can quickly and easily find their way around the package. Upon successfully completing the final exam, students will have mastered academic reading skills and will be equipped to read and understand challenging texts in English.

Getting Started with DigiTALENT

The DigiTALENT course, including the final exam, costs €34.50 for students. Educational institutions may also purchase a group license for their students for a reduced price. The DigiTALENT package can be adapted to meet your specific needs.
