Taalcentrum-VU is an independent language agency offering high-quality solutions for all your translation, training and text-editing needs. We also offer language testing and can provide you with recommendations and feedback on your written and spoken communication.

Our clients come from both the public and private sectors. Taalcentrum-VU is a major language services provider in diverse market segments. We are the largest supplier of translations for the Dutch education sector and lead the way in providing English training courses for researchers. We also offer writing courses geared toward academics and business professionals, from public relations officers to policymakers.

Forty talented language professionals work at Taalcentrum-VU: translators, trainers, editors and project managers. All of our in-house translators are native speakers of English. We also work with a wide network of independent language trainers, translators, editors and copywriters.

Taalcentrum-VU is located in Amsterdam’s Zuidas business district, directly across from the VU University Amsterdam main campus.

Taalcentrum-VU was founded by VU University Amsterdam in 1989. Now an independent language services agency, we maintain a close relationship with the university, ensuring a rich transfer of knowledge across the academic spectrum. However, knowledge and expertise do not exist in isolation; they must be harnessed for real-world application.
